Scrappin-abilities was born out of a desire to create, a need for relaxation, and a means of survival.  Even at a young age I always had the desire to create.  As I grew older, I coupled that with the desire to make something new from something old to preserve our environment. I've also always had a fascination with pretty paper.  I started designing and selling greeting cards as a hobby.  That is when Scrappin-abilites was born.

While dealing with health issues of family members, I started making paper beads from my scraps of left over paper and then putting them together into creative jewelry as a means of relaxation.  Friends and family started asking to purchase my creations.  Then due to the loss of income because of my husband's health issues I decided to turn my passion of those "Scrappy Jewels" into more than just a hobby. With the help and support of my husband and family... as they say.... the rest is history!
